Parent & Grandparent Sponsorship

The family reunion is critical for certain immigrant families. The Canadian government provides its citizens and permanent residents a chance to sponsor their parents and grandparents for permanent residence in Canada. Every year, IRCC offers citizens and permanent resident holders an opportunity to register their interests to support parents and grandparents. After submitting an expression of interest, IRCC sends invitations to randomly selected applicants to submit applications for sponsoring parents and grandparents. The sponsor must meet necessary minimum income requirements and sign an undertaking responsibility for sponsored parents or grandparents.

Super Visa

A family reunion is an integral part of growing society. Canadian immigration has created this particular type of visitor visa designed for parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents. This visa category allows a maximum stay of 2 years entry with the possibility of extension of stay. Sponsoring child or grandchild has to provide a supporting letter (invitation to Canada letter) and promise financial support for the duration of the visit. In admission, proof of medical insurance purchased from a Canadian insurance provider is mandatory.
